All People Are Created Equal

What would our world look like if we actually believed and lived out these words?

ALL PEOPLE ARE CREATED EQUAL

Men and Women, Short and Tall, Fat and Thin, Pretty and Pretty Ugly, Foolish and Wise, Wealthy and Poor, Working and Dream of Working, Teen and Old, Powerful and Weak, Somebody and Nobody: ALL EQUAL

Wouldn't that be a wonderful thing? 2 Problems though...

1. The upper looks down on the lower, even when they are helping them.
2. The lower looks down on themselves as societal norm trains them that they are not good enough.

It's a lot of being disgusted with the other or disgusted with ourselves. That's a LOT of disgusting!

I see it at the gym. I go and yes I am the full figured older lady with a gut. It's a bummer. (Looking down on my gut as I type) I see people who are there every day - as I am (you would never believe it to look at me but I'm there like 5 days a week for 1-2 hours, 3 months later, same weight. It is like a supernatural miracle or something. It must be God's plan for me to be shapely! oh well, I am there for health reasons anyways - back to my example of being disgusted with others or ourselves which brings me to this lovely stock photo)

AND some people there every day are fit, really really fit. They are pushing themselves hard, really really hard.

We all watch a talk show on the tv screens (fit and yet to be fit), lets just say it is "The View" for conversation sake. It is so interesting to see people at the gym either wishing they looked like the people on TV so they work at it like crazy every day to keep their body hot like the images they are raised with as being the BEST. While the other half is wishing they looked like the people on TV so they are huffing and puffing their chub as they watch the screens in hopes to one day look like that. Here is the interesting thing: The Crowds. Both of them. (meaning the crowds at the gym and the crowd of audience members at "The View" show.

The Crowd of people at the show all look like the people at the gym. Lots of "normal" looking people who would never look like any host on the show, ever. Even if they were super thin. So the crowd in the live TV audience and the crowd at the Gym are all gawking and looking at the people on the show as if they are better than them and they need to be more like them in looks, personality or finances, whatever.

Point is. WE ARE ALL EQUAL. So the Viewing of the View is really just like dangling a false unreal lifestyle in front of millions of people that will never happen for them. Isn't it sad that millions of people walk around wishing they were this or that to be more like someone else who they believe has more. We buy in to the lie that these people on TV are better than us but they are just, well, people. I don't think people would be in bondage to this if they really believed with all their heart:

We Are All Equal.

Be who you were created to be, and be it fully because no one can be that but you.

You are the only you and if you spend your time wishing you were more or looking down on those who are less for what ever reason in your eyes, you are going to miss it. What are you going to miss? It's called your life and it is better to experience it fully than to watch some one else's life on a screen that is not even real or try to be someone that you were never created to be.

If you believe that you are Created Equal to Everyone Else then your confidence will improve and your compassion will grow.  ~Tracy Galloway  (Oh wait this whole blog is a quote from me to you!)

Being a country founded on Christian principles it comes from this book. It is an oldie but a goodie called you guessed it, The Bible.
"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you ARE ALL ONE in Christ Jesus."

We are all put on this spinning ball of dirt and water to live out our days the best we can with all that God has given us. Go therefore and be all that God created you to be without any of the worlds silly opinions getting in your way.

By the way, Jesus Loves You just the way you are. Isn't that crazy? What a crazy cool guy Jesus is.

Be Free.
